Triton Mining Colony

History:The Triton colony was founded to take advantage of some of the rare minerals and ores found there. Its charter also called for several scientific accomplishments including a deep space observation facility, and development of large-scale superconductors. The colony proved to be too successful for its own good. In 2215, it announced the discovery of the richest supply of lithium in the solar system. The amount reported could have revitalized the power storage industry, as well as boosting several related technologies. Although it practically insured the success of the colony, it did not seem like it would warrant the resulting attack from Titan.
In 2126, Titan forces overcame and occupied the proto-colony. This was the event that triggered the Titan Wars.
